New electrical circuits/receptacles or panel upgrades
-
Painting/patching unrelated to the lighting system
-

Your installation is booked for a mutually agreed date window. On-site duration varies by roofline complexity, house size, and weather. we will provide a range within a respected date
Rescheduling
-
You may request up to two reschedules with at least 48 hours’ notice. Additional reschedules may incur a scheduling fee and/or trigger deposit conversion to a production/scheduling fee due to custom materials already underway.
Delays
-
Weather, site inaccessibility (locked gates, parked vehicles), and safety considerations may require rescheduling. We will advise you promptly.
3) Warranty
Comprehensive Warranty (Years 1–5)
All lighting components, system hardware, and installation labour are covered for five (5) years from installation against defects in materials, workmanship, and installation.
At-Cost Support (Years 6–10)

How to claim
Contact us with photos/video and a brief description. An on-site inspection may be required to confirm eligibility and determine the remedy (repair, replacement, or re-termination).
4) Payment Terms
-
Deposit: As stated on page 1 of your estimate/contract (or estimate sheet), due upon approval.
-
Balance: Due upon Substantial Completion (see Definitions). Minor touch-ups/punch-list items will be completed promptly and are not a basis to withhold payment.
-
Methods: E-transfer, major credit cards, or certified cheque (disclosed card fees, if any, may apply).
-
Non-Refundable After 48 Hours: Deposits become non-refundable 48 hours after payment because custom tracks/materials are released to production at that time.
4A) Contract Acceptance (Deposit-as-Consent)
-
By paying the deposit referenced on your estimate/contract, you acknowledge and accept the scope, pricing, schedule dependencies, and all terms herein. Deposit payment without a physical or electronic signature constitutes acceptance of the agreement and serves as binding authorisation to proceed, including order/fabrication of custom tracks and materials. If a signature is later obtained, it simply memorialises the same terms already accepted by deposit.
5) Liability
Please disclose any structural, electrical, or environmental conditions that may affect installation (e.g., soft/rotted fascia, prior water ingress, unusual attic conditions, known electrical issues). Undisclosed conditions can necessitate added materials/equipment, alter component placement, impact safety, and may limit warranty coverage if the issue causes failure.
6) Customer Responsibilities
-
Access: Provide clear access to rooflines, soffits, gates, and outdoor power. Move vehicles/BBQs from work zones.
-
Safety: Secure pets and keep children away from work areas.
-
Power & Wi-Fi: Ensure an outdoor receptacle is available and, if applicable, share Wi-Fi credentials on install day.
-
Documentation: We recommend pre-install photos for your records.
7) Cancellation Policy
-
Within 72 hours of scheduled install: A 10% fee may apply.
-
Deposits become non-refundable 48 hours after payment because custom metal tracks/materials are released to production at that time.
-
If custom fabrication has begun, all related production costs are non-refundable.
-
For projects accepted by deposit without signature, all cancellation timelines and deposit rules apply as though the agreement were signed.
8) Post-Installation Support
-
30 days of complimentary technical support (remote guidance and basic troubleshooting).
-
After 30 days, service visits may be subject to standard diagnostic/labour fees unless covered by warranty.
-
We triage issues in order received and schedule the earliest available service window, prioritising safety and outage severity.
9) Software & Connectivity Disclaimer
Starise is not responsible for malfunctions caused by customer-provided Wi-Fi, ISP issues, mesh systems, third-party apps, or smart-home hubs. Adequate 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage near the controller is recommended. Router/SSID/password changes may require re-pairing; we can assist at standard service rates.
10) Aesthetic Expectations
We target a clean, discreet result. Visibility of certain elements (tracks, short wire runs, control boxes, drip-loops) may vary due to roofline geometry, soffit depth, and safety codes. Custom track colours are specified to blend with fascia/soffit; minor shade variance can occur due to manufacturer batch differences and lighting conditions.
11) Financing
Financing is available and processed via Stripe (subject to Stripe’s separate terms and approval).
-
6-month term: 7.99%
-
12-month term: 8.99%
-
All financing must be approved prior to scheduling installation.
12) Permits & Inspections
If a permit or inspection is required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), we will advise you. If the homeowner declines required permits/inspections, Starise will proceed at the homeowner’s request. Should the City later require a permit/inspection, all related fees, re-inspection costs, remedial work, and scheduling charges are the homeowner’s responsibility. Starise is not liable for fines, penalties, or delays arising from the homeowner’s decision.
13) Change Orders & Extras
If you add areas or alter layouts after approval, we’ll issue a written change order showing the revised price and any timeline impacts. Work pauses until the change order is signed (or accepted by deposit-as-consent).
14) Safety & Worksite Conditions
We reserve the right to pause or leave site if conditions become unsafe (high winds, icy roof, lightning, unsafe ladder placements, restricted access). We’ll reschedule promptly.
15) LED Performance & Operating Guidance
-
Minimal lumen depreciation over years of normal use is expected.
-
Operating temperature and ambient conditions affect perceived brightness.
-
Avoid rapid power cycling; allow the controller to complete on/off sequences.
16) After-Care & Maintenance
-
Keep tracks reasonably free of debris/ice dams where practical.
-
Do not pressure-wash sealed components or control enclosures.
-
Contact Starise before attempting any repairs or modifications.
